8×42 ED Optical Performance
The STP-8x42ED uses an 8×42 ED optical configuration with roof prisms, phase and dielectric coatings and FMC broadband multilayer anti-reflection coating.
The specified optical transmission is ≥87%. The system provides a 6.1° field of view, 5.25mm exit pupil and 21.1mm eye relief.
Integrated 905nm Laser Rangefinder
The binocular integrates a 905nm semiconductor laser with Class 1 laser classification.
Depending on configuration, the specified ranging range is 5–1500m, 5–1800m or 5–2400m, with ranging accuracy of ±0.5m + 1‰. Under high-reflection target conditions, measurement time is specified at ≤0.3 seconds.
Measurement and Angle Functions
The rangefinder system supports ordinary Distance Measurement, continuous SCAN, two-point height measurement, angle measurement and horizontal distance measurement.
The integrated processor supports multi-point averaging, distance gating and interference filtering, while an angle sensor provides automatic angle compensation.
Flat-Back Mechanical Design
The STP series uses a flat-back housing design. The body combines magnesium alloy and modified PVC rubber, with IP67/IP65 protection specified.
The overall dimensions are approximately 146 × 111 × 51mm, while the flat-back configuration weighs approximately 790g. An optional 1/4"-20 tripod interface is available.
